How can I fix my Micra's wiring problem?

I took my 2003 Nissan Micra to the garage when the boot failed to open. They diagnosed a wiring problem and said they need to replace the loom. However, because the whole loom as to be replaced, they say it will not be worth repairing. Is this correct?

You probably don't need to scrap it for this simple reason. You will be able to find somebody somewhere who can fix it. Try a local car electrical specialist.
