Buying a new BMW - 520d or 530d?

I am looking to replace my BMW 520dSE which has been brilliant (17-inch wheels and sensible suspension). I am tempted to go for a new 530d but common sense says go for another 520d. What would you recommend?

I'd go for the BMW 530d, currently available at discounts of up to £8000 because the F10 model is on run-out.
