Should I buy a Ford Puma?

I have seen a Ford Puma for sale. The car is a 2000 model with a 1.7 petrol engine with 46,000 miles on the clock. The seller wants £750, which seems quite cheap. Do you think this is a good buy? Is there anything I should check before parting with my cash?

A Puma in perfect condition with no bodyrot is a delight to drive and an appreciating classic. A rusted out dog of a Puma is a dog. Rust is its biggest enemy, especially in the area of the rear wheelarches and sills. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/ford/puma-1997/ and also visit enthusiasts site www.pumapeople.com You also need to check the title of the car properly, using HPI or Experian and even that might not protect you if it's been Logbook Loaned.
