Why does my 2002 Vauxhall Astra's alarm keep going off for no reason at all?

Sensor problem. Try switching to recirculate, closing all the vents, turning the heater to max and directing any airflow to the footwell. That minimises air disturbances inside the car. Another reason could be a captive spider crawling over a sensor.
