Do I have to pay this fine?

I have received a £100 fine from Parking Eye for not paying to park in a small open air car park in Peterborough.

I did pay but put in wrong car reg. AK47YTX instead of AK62YTX.

I only realised this after leaving. I cannot find the ticket. What action should I take? They offer a reduced £60 fine for early payment.

You can pay the £60. Or you can wait for the Law Lords to rule in the important test case Parking Eye v Barry Beavis which was heard on 24th February in the Court of Appeal and is being deliberated but has yet to be ruled on because any ruling will affect UK Contract Law.
