Should I change the timing belt on my Fiesta?

I have a 2006 Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.4 petrol that has done only 22,000 miles in nine years. I've been recommended a timing belt change at 100,000 miles or eight years. Is that right for this low mileage car?
Yes. Age will be taking its toll and it's not mileage that destroys timing belts anyway. It's the number of cold starts.
