Selling my car before tax disc changes

If I sell my car before October first can I pass on the unexpired car tax to the new owner? It cost me £265 in May to renew and the buyer certainly would like to know if it can be included in price of car sale!

On or before 30th September, yes. After 30th September, no. You have to reclaim what's left of it and the new buyer has to start from scratch. You can simply reduce the price by the amount of VED that can be refunded. To get this done before 30th September you have to do it now.
