Can I reject a two year old car?

The PAS system has failed on my 2012 Kia Venga 2 for the second time. This first occurred about two years ago and I have now lost confidence in driving this vehicle due to this safety issue which happens without warning.

We were persuaded to buy this model due to its seven year warranty, which gave us a false illusion that such faults would not occur if the manufacture had the confidence to give it a seven year guarantee. The car has always been diligently maintained at the franchised dealer workshop and we are both retired and over 70 years old. What can we do?

You don't have any right of a refund, only of a 2nd replacement EPAS unit, providing it is not found to be damaged, which it can be by holding it hard on full lock in either direction. Will record the problem in car by car but don't remember this fault before.
