What price should I pay for a used Focus RS?

I have just sold my 2012 Ford Focus ST3 and am thinking of going back to a 2009 Focus RS as they seem to be holding their value. I have seen a 2009 RS in green with 15,000 miles and it's mint. The dealer wants £20495, does that sound like a good price? The dealer is respectable and can cut the price to £19,995 if I agree to buy.

That's right for the RS, and the dealer is being straight. There are so few around that it's a seller's rather than a buyer's market. What did you not like about the ST3? Was it the diabolical ESP system?

We found that the only way to safely drive the thing was to switch off both stages of it. Paradoxically, no problem at all with the Fiesta ST. Some problems with the Focus ST here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/ford/focus-st-2012/?...d
