Mazda CX-5 or Honda Civic?

I have a Seat Altea 2.0TDI Sport with 168k on it. Should I swap it for a 1.6 iDTEC Honda Civic or a Mazda CX-5 diesel? With the new engines do you really get the quoted figures of near 60mpg?

A Civic 1.6iDTEC is a completely different car from a CX-5. I doubt you'll get more than 50mpg from any CX-5 (see www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/mazda/cx-5-2012 where the average is 47.1). But the Civic iDTEC has averaged 67.1 according to reader submissions (see: www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/honda/civic-2012).
