Buying a new Audi Q3 - which engine should I go for?

I’m thinking of buying a brand new Audi Q3 1.4 (petrol engine), but having problems trying to track one down for a test drive. Hence the dealerships insist on trying to sell me something more expensive.

Will a 1.4 petrol engine be powerful enough to adequately pull an SUV of this size? Or would I be better to use the same money to buy a second hand Q3 2.0 DTI?

Wait for the 1.4 engine revises to feed through. An EA211 1.4TSI 140ACT should be enough.
