Blistering on Skoda alloy wheels – what should I do?

I own a 2013 Skoda Octavia Scout and a few weeks ago I noticed blisters on two of the alloy wheels. I returned the car to the dealer, but they said the damage was caused by stone chips and they would not pay for the repairs.

The Scout is advertised as an off- road model, yet the only off-roading I have done is a smooth grass field. I have owned several cars with alloy wheels and never had this problem. What can I do?

Sue the dealer who sold you the car using the small claims track of the county court starting with www.moneyclaim.gov.uk Ask the dealer for the cost of two new wheels, then sue him for that exact amount. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
