Dashboard reflection on windscreen - is this a common new car fault?

I am contemplating buying a Nissan Qashqai, but the car I road test today had a big reflection on the windscreen from the bulk instrument panel. I appreciate that most cars have a form of reflection but this was particularly bad. Do all models have the same problem?

If the car has a light coloured dash top or any chrome on the dash top then this will reflect. A matt black dash top is best.
