What tyres are best for my Skoda Fabia?

My 2009 Skoda Fabia came fitted with Goodyear tyres, 205/45R16 W 83, which I have replaced, like for like, since new. I have done nearly 70,000 miles predominantly on motorways, so have had a couple of replacements. However, I’ve seen a few budget brands for tyres and am thinking of ditching the Goodyears for something cheaper. Do you think this is a good idea?

No. Avoid budget brands and stick with the Goodyears.

I have just replaced winter tyres (205/45/16) with standard ones, and wonder whether a set of steel wheels could be found to fit the winter tyres for next season, and at what cost?
