Mazda 3 stop/start system - can I switch it off?

My Mazda 3 has the i-stop system (but not i-loop) and I'm wondering if there are long term problems if it activates a lot in regular rush hour urban conditions.?
I don't mind it being active but should I deactivate it when in heavy traffic if conditions mean it stops engine 4-5 times in a 3-4 min cycle?

If it it irritates you, yes. Thankfully Mazdas have an easily accessed switch.
