Should I have been told that my Honda Jazz was originally a hire car?

I recently bought a Honda Jazz, twelve months old with 12,700 miles, from a reputable Honda dealer. I was told by the salesman that the car had one previous owner. It was not until I received the new registration certificate from the DVLA that I discovered the previous owner had been a car hire company. Does this constitute the dealership and the salesman being sparing with the truth?

No. If you buy a used car that is 3 - 18 months old then there is a 90 per cent probability that the first keeper of the car was a car rental company.
