Where can I get winter tyres and wheels for my Jaguar XF?

I recently changed from a BMW 530D, for which I had a set of alloys with cold weather tyres, to a Jaguar XF 2.2D and need a suitable set of wheels and cold weather tyres. The XF came on 245/40 R19s (it was a showroom model I purchased already fitted with 19-inch wheels or I would have opted for 18s). My Northampton Jaguar dealer recently quoted in excess of £2500 for a set of alloys with winter tyres, which is far too costly in my opinion. I would appreciate your advice of where best to source a set of say 18-inch alloys (is that a better size?) with your recommended type/make of winter tyres. If I change to 18-inch alloys, what profile tyres do I need to retain the original circumference size?

XF wheel and tyres sizes are 17-inch with 235/55 R17 99W tyres; 18-inch with 245/45 R18 100W tyres; 19-inch with 245/40 R19 98Y tyres or 20-inch with 255/35 R20 97Y front and 285/30 R20 99Y rear tyres. So you can go down to 17-inch wheels with 235/55s that will be a lot more comfortable.

Talk to www.tyremen.co.uk about a set of 17-inch wheels with appropriate tyres. Currently Vredestein Wintrac Extremes are top of the charts, while for all year round, Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons.

Update: Tyremen supplied PP with Anzio 17-inch alloys fitted with Vredestein Wintrac Extremes for a total of £1126.
