Why is Vauxhall denying the existence of a water ingress problem on the Corsa?

I spoke to Vauxhall and they told me they had no complaints from their dealerships so they were not responsible for the relevant repairs. Before this, I spoke to my local Vauxhall dealer in Cambridge and the man said he had seen over 120 of such cases since Christmas. He claimed he had been reporting such cases to Vauxhall – so who am I meant to believe? He also gave me a price of about £700 to rectify the problem. Can I prove that it’s a design fault or what? The car is in good condition and has low mileage although I am very concerned that all the dampness is going to cause premature rust.

Your Vauxhall dealer has seen 120 cases since last Christmas. Yet Vauxhall claims to be unaware of the problem. Does this not strike you as contradictory?
