I got my PCN from a supermarket cancelled after speaking to the store manager.

I received a PCN charge from Parking Eye for overstay at Morrisons, which gives two hours free but no return within three hours. I had to re-visit the store to do more shopping within the 2-hour time limit, hence the PCN. I decided to call in and see the store manager face to face. He apologised profusely and explained it was not their intention to penalise customers but more to stop people parking whilst using other facilities. I received a cancellation letter from Parking Eye two days later. Maybe they do realise that customers are important

Well done. Obviously a store manager who regards his customers as more important than the store's share of an income derived from parking penalties.
