Which new Honda Jazz model is the best in the range?

My sister wishes to buy a new Honda Jazz. Can you please suggest which is the best in the range, as there are so many models of Jazz? She fancies 1.4 EXL CVT for £17,200.

Depends on whether or not she wants a hybrid, because that has to be top of the list. But further down the range I actually prefer the lower spec I.4iVTEC ES CVT-7 to the higher specs. It comes on more sensible 15-inch wheels and tyres, and because it does not have a panoramic glass sunroof and blind, it has more headroom. It's also easier to fit a (non-standard) spare wheel into. If she does not need the space and practicality of a Jazz, she should also consider the cheaper Toyota Yaris hybrid.

Neatly styled. Increased room and better performance than original Jazz. better to drive. Very versatile. CVT-7 returned in February 2011 replacing i-SHIFT. More reliable than first generation Jazz.
Fairly big boot by class standards, tempting hybrid option, Toyota has an epic reliability record.
