Is supermarket fuel inferior to petrol station fuel?

Why will no one do an in-depth review on supermarket v/s the big four fuel suppliers? I am a tanker driver (not fuel) and over the years have asked at least six fuel tanker drivers if there is a difference in fuel. All say yes. Shell, BP, Esso and Texaco all put additives in their fuel and supermarkets don’t, hence cheaper fuel at supermarkets.

No newspaper, magazine or website has the resources or the money to do this. The people you should ask are at 'Which?'. I just switched from ordinary Shell to V-Power Nitro+ diesel and have seen an instant 3mpg improvement. It may be the warmer weather, though.
