What's the difference between the Mercedes-Benz ML250CDI and 350CDI?

I shall be ordering a new Mercedes-Benz ML within the next few months. Given current exorbitant taxes, the new ML250CDI seems a better bet than the 350CDI. Both are capable of towing my caravan. Will the 4-cylinder 250 be noticeably different from the smoother, more powerful 350? Any views on the engines one v/s the other? There are significant cost differences, although tax and fuel may not be that great given the price of the car. Any further comments?

You are comparing a 2.1-litre four with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel. Not really any comparison. Might as well save an absolute fortune and get a 2.2-litre KIA Sorento for £30,000. That's a brilliant cruiser, which I can confirm after 1300 miles in one in March, and with enough power and weight to tow.
