Will a BMW Z3 be suitable for touring in France?

My wife and I are retired and want to go touring in France this summer. What do you think of a BMW Z3 about 10 years old for the tour? It will only be used for the trip and will be sold upon return. Any help and advice would be most welcome.

Not really a sports car, so probably best bought as a 1.9-litre four or 2.0-litre six on 16-inch wheels and comfort tyres. Check that the luggage space is going to be adequate for your needs (I doubt that it will be). www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/bmw/z3-roadster-1997/
