Buying a new 4x4 which would you recommend?

I am, finally, looking to change my 2006 Nissan X-Trail diesel which has given me years of trouble free motoring. The new SUV will need to be able to tow a caravan, carry a gundog and equipment, with occasional trips off-road. My preference is for a manual diesel with a budget £28/30K. What do you suggest I buy?

KIA Sorento 2.2 KX2 Nav, currently on offer at £28,000. Can tow 2500kg. Nothing else.

Strong diesels including impressive 2.2-litre. Comes with seven seats. New six-speed automatic. More premium feel than previous Sorento. Great value for money.
Excellent, honest vehicle, decent to drive on road and best in class off road. Better than original Freelander.
