Volvo XC60 misfire

I run a 2010 Volvo XC60 and find it hard to get any really truthful in-depth information relating to them. The problem I have is ether a misfire under load or a clutch band slipping in the auto gearbox. Any idea what’s going on?

The D5 engine is common to the S40, V40, S60, V70, XC70, S80, XC60 and XC90.

The fault is more likely to be the Geartronic automatic transmission than the engine.
