Jaguar XJ - which wheels are best?

My 2010 Jaguar XJ needs new rear tyres after only 15,000 miles. It is fitted with Dunlop 275/40 ZR19 on the rear and Dunlop 245/45 ZR19 on the front. The wheels are 20-inch. Would it be possible to fit a deeper profile tyre to the existing wheels and, if so, which size/make would you recommend?

If the car is fitted with 275/40 ZR19s then it is on 19-inch wheels, not 20s. This kind of wear is normal on this profile of tyre on this type of car. You can probably buy a new set of wheels and go down to 18-inch with 50 profile on the front and 45 profile on the back, but this will be expensive. Talk to www.tyremen.co.uk
