Dealer fitted camera not working properly - what are my options?
I purchased a new Honda Jazz 1.4 i-VTEC ES-T in June and had a rear view camera fitted as an extra for £637.00. I assumed this would be fitted at the factory, but later discovered the work was carried out by the dealer.
When we were shown rear cameras at the dealer, each one was positioned in the middle of the car so you could use to reverse safely into spaces. The camera on my car is to one side and pointing down. Since then, I’ve been very unhappy with the camera’s performance and feel short-changed. What can I do?

This is not something I have ever come across before. Rear camera are often fitted slightly to the side, probably for wiring reasons or because the hatchback cannot be drilled in the centre. The lens itself should be slightly adjustable to give a better spread of view. But clearly if the installation is not satisfactory or cannot be made to work satisfactorily you can tell the dealer it is not satisfactory and demand he either fixes it or refunds your £637.
