Front suspension knocking

The offside front suspension of my Seat Altea makes a soft knocking noise when going over rough road surfaces, manhole covers, sleeping policemen etc. I reported this to the dealer last year, but was told it had been examined and was perfectly safe to use. My previous Altea did not suffer the fault and I can find no evidence of suspension on VAG cars being a problem.

If I heard the knocking on a car I was testing with a view to buying I would walk away. Now with less than six months to go before the end of the three year warranty I would like to have it corrected. How do you suggest I approach the dealer to get it fixed?

Sounds like a worn bush, probably an anti-roll bar sleeve bush. Should be straightforward to replace.
