Glow plug light not coming on?

I have been told by the Ford dealer the reason my glow plug light isn't coming on is that the weather is too warm.

I looked for the fuse for the glow plug light but there were no connections in the space where the manual says it is.

Is this right or am I being fed a line?

These engines just start on the key with no need to wait for the glow plugs to glow.
