Is the Honda Jazz a good replacement for my Honda Accord?

I currently own a 2004 Honda Accord 2.0i Executive automatic and would like to downsize to something easier to get in and out of, with cheaper running costs. A diesel does not seem to be an option. We would probably buy a one to two-year old car and have budgeted about £9,000 plus the value of the Accord. I like the Jazz 1.4 CVT Executive, but which other cars might meet our requirements?

Yes, I recommend a Jazz 1.4 CVT-7, but these were only built up to late 2008 and then again from February 2011. There was a dark period in Jazz history when they came with less than satisfactory i-Shifts. The obvious alternative is a Nissan Note 1.6 automatic, or you might find a Hyundai ix20 or KIA Venga 1.6 auto within budget.
