I'm using Twitter to complain after my car was damaged in a Tesco car park.

My car was damaged in a Tesco car park. On Friday I tweeted the link to my blog about this to Tesco's customer service Twitter channel. I received a reply saying that they want to help. On Friday and Saturday I had conversations with Tesco's social media team and they said they would speak to the main customer service team on Monday. On Monday, the social media team said that the claims team will write to me.

Tesco has my email address, home address and phone numbers, so its legal team could get a 'cease and desist' letter to me quickly, requesting the blog to be removed or amended. The truth is that I do feel very strongly about it, though would not go so far as to mount a campaign (multiple tweets, leaflets, etc). If Tesco asked me to remove the blog, I probably would.

Good. The fight is against the massive increase in private parking penalties that drivers now face. The more drivers comply with the terms and conditions of the parking, the more new rules will be applied to maintain the revenue levels of the parking enforcement outfits. And retailers are trapped. Because, from 1 October, unless they gate the carpark they cannot run their own parking enforcement using ANPR. They have to employ a member of the BPA.
