Thanks for recommending the Mazda 2 - I'm really pleased with mine.
In October 2008, based your Car Review of the Mazda 2, I sold my 138,000 trouble-free mile Honda Jazz and bought a Mazda 2 TS2. This has been by far the best all round small car I have ever owned. The handling is fantastic, it is very comfortable (I am 6 feet 6 inches tall) and I have averaged 45mpg from day one. I have now done 102,000 miles without any incident whatsoever, just service, tyres and brakes (62,000 front pads), still on the original clutch and the car has never once let me down.
I would like to thank you very much for your advice in your column which I read every week and I hope that all your readers listen to you common sense, no-nonsense advice when buying a car. I will be taking my car to Le Mans in June and have every confidence that it will do so without incident as it has done previously. I intend to keep running this car and hope it will get to 200,000 miles trouble free, when I will write and let you know.
