Is there any chance that Citroen will contribute towards the repair of my C8's injectors and rockers?

I have a major problem with my Citroen C8. The vehicle is five years old with 83,000 miles. The injectors need to be removed as the timing is off and damage appears to have been done to the rockers, but they are seized and will not come out. My local Citroen garage doesn't even want to repair the vehicle and charged me £200 for a diagnosis of the problem. I have contacted Citroen UK who acknowledge that this is a fault/problem with this engine, but otherwise they don't want to know. What should I do? Someone said I should use the 'Sale of Goods Act' - what do you think? Have I any chance of getting Citroen to cough up?

The car is well out of warranty and a decent amount of miles have been put onto it. The best you can hope for is that Citroen makes a goodwill gesture and offers to split the bill with you - 50/50 or something like that.
