Should I use the 'Hyundai First' service in case of an accident or theft?

I have just bought a new Hyundai ix20. I see that in the event of an accident or vehicle theft I am strongly advised to call ‘HYUNDAI FIRST’ before contacting my insurance company. Are you aware of any merit or disadvantage in following this procedure?

This ensures that the car is properly repaired and not devalued by a poor quality repair. It also ensures that you do not fall into the clutches of a credit hire operator who puts you into an equivalent hire car at very high rental rates for the duration of an extended repair, then holds you liable for the rental cost if the insurers refuse to pay.
