I need a 4x4 to tow a horsebox and carry two children - what do you recommend?

I want a 4x4 that will tow an Ifor Williams 505 trailer with two 500kg horses, and carry a large buggy and equipment for two babies. I currently tow with a Mitsubishi Pajero which is used as a spare car, but this will be replaced by the new 4x4. I am interested in the Land Rover Sport. What do you think?

Well yes, a Range Rover Sport can tow 3,500kg. So can a LandRover Discovery III or IV and a VW Touareg. The Land Rover is best with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel and eight-speed automatic, the Range Rover Sport with either the 3.6-litre V8 diesel or the 3.0-litre V6 diesel and eight-speed transmission.

Imperious on and off-road, hugely practical, more desirable than the current Discovery, refined and high-quality interior.
As comfortable and imperious as a Range Rover, spacious cabin and boot, classy and understated image.
Bigger and more economical than the old model. Great to drive on-road but with typical Land Rover off road ability. Fantastic traction and ability in the worst conditions.
