Please advise your readers that the speed limit has changed on the A413 near Buckingham.

In the last week or two, a section of the A413 between Buckingham and Maids Moreton has had the speed limit dropped from 40mph to 30mph. There have been no obvious roadside warnings to this effect except that two 40mph reminder signs have disappeared. I thought they had been nicked because the poles they had been mounted on are still there. Lo and behold, last Thursday they set up a radar trap. Please advise your readers to watch out for the new speed limit.

Somebody told me yesterday that if you are caught speeding you are allowed 10 per cent over the limit plus 3mph because a car's speedo is not calibrated. Is this true?
I have a problem. On a well-used route there are two 30MPH SLOW DOWN signs, neither of which appear to be working. So how do I tell the police without admitting I have exceeded the speed limit?
