Buying a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI with a replaced turbo?

I am new to this site and do like the various valuable advice that it has. I have a question regarding a car that I am looking to buy. Its Ford focus 2006 1.6 TDCI zetec. with 74K on the clock. Cambelt was replaced at 65k.

The trader showed me a recent repair bill for (turbo fault - underboost). Things that were done are
- replaced turbo with new unit
- upgraded turbo fitting kit
- upgraded sump pick-up pipe
- oil service.

From reading on the forum it seems this model has a common history of faulty turbo. What I did like to know is if I were to buy this car do I expect another turbo issue soon ? The above repair did cost £2000. They are asking £4200 for this. Is it a reasonable price? Surely I do not want to incur such an expensive repair after buying it.

Any buying advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The right things seem to have been done. The problem is that the oil feed pipe to the turbo bearing gets choked with carbon so if the turbo is replaced without also replacing the plumbing, the new turbo will invariably fail. If it's a TDCI 90 it might not have a diesel particulate filter, which is an advantage. If it is a TDCI 110 it will have a DPF and the Eolys reservoir will need replenishing. The other potential problem area is the dual mass flywheel.
