Shell V Power fuel with Ford Powershift

I read your explanation on how to benefit from Shell V-Power yesterday. Following your recommendation I've been using Shell diesel in my Ford Kuga 163ps with Powershift since new (now 18k miles) and a couple of months ago I started using V-Power.

You said in your reply to GS that V-Power allows shifting to higher gears at lower RPM. I'm not certain, but I get the impression the Powershift is starting to do this since I changed to V-Power. Is the engine management really that smart or am I imagining it?

No. The engine management system will be that smart.
