Which pick-up for towing?

I want to buy a pick-up to tow a 1700 kg caravan. Narrowed it down to Isuzu D-Max or Volswagen Amarok. Which would you recommend?

Definitely the D Max. And definitely not the Amarock. The D Max is much tougher with a 25% bigger engine, more power and torque, chain cam so no belts to worry about, higher towing capacity, nicer gearbox.
