Knocking noise from steering in a Civic

I noticed a very defined knock from the front driver side, when started steering after not using the car for hours. When driving, it usually doesn't happen again, and even if it does, it isn't that loud.

Honda main dealer checked it, they tightened a loose nut, but it didn't solve it, Then they changed the dumper on the front driver side. It was OK for months, now it started again. Honda checked again, they said it is the same dumper, but it's working correctly, not leaking, it's just a bit noisy.

I tend not to believe them. They said they checked everything else: joints, bushings, etc, everything seems fine.

I would have suggested possibly anti-roll bar sleeve bush, but you say they tell you that has been checked. Alternatively, might be the strut top mount.
