Golf opens itself

Why does my central locking open by itself and at the same time electric windows also go down by themselves? This happens when car is locked and no one is near the car or keys
This is on a mk4 Golf 1400.

Because water has got into the ECU inside the driver's door that controls the locking and the windows. Very common problem.
