Misrepresentation at Auction

I bought a car at auction today (BCA Manchester) - An Audi A3 2.0 TDI (140).

The auction catalogue, web description and screen description all said air conditioning. Sadly the car is a far-from normal Audi and is without aircon, which I only realised after driving off from the site (nearly home on a hot day). The auctioneer didn't describe it any other way.

You buy solely on the auctioneer's description, not on the catalogue description, web description or screen description and I think you are advised to satisfy yourself that the car is to spec. However, if the car was an independent import not to UK spec then the auctioneer should have mentioned this.
