Renault Clio '56 plate fuel pump diesel problems

I am contributing owner feedback in addition to the below found on the link http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/renault/clio-iii-2005/?section=bad

I am also having the same issue, I have phoned Citizens Advice and really what it comes down to is that Renault owners need to report this to Trading Standards, I have done, the more people that report it the more likely it will be investigated with a hope that there will be a recall of the vehicles impacted.

'What to Watch Out For
Timing belts need regular replacement.

23-7-2012: Report of injection pump of 2007 1.5 diesel breaking up and sending shards into the injectors. Definitely not caused by incorrectly filling with petrol. Quoted £3,635 + VAT for repairs. Car had full renault service history and Renault provided goodwill of 55%, dealer 10%, total 65%.

More owner/driver feedback welcome.'
