how do i get the large amount of petrol out please?

The tank is probably anti siphon so the only way might be to take take the inspection cover off the top of the tank which you reach from under the back seat.

Disconnect the battery before starting and be very careful not to create any sparks. Then you should be able to pump the fuel out by siphon.
