Volvo XC90 Polestar upgrade - worth it?
I have a Volvo XC90 D5, Model Year 2010 (PS185), which is just 2 years old and about to have a service.

I'm really pleased with it, but one drawback is that it's a heavy car and feels a bit underpowered from standstill.

Model Year 2012 has 200 PS. Volvo have offered a Polestar upgrade (to 205 PS) for £650, which I should be able to negotiate down a bit.

According to Volvo, fuel consumption should not be affected(!). I intend to keep the car for at least another three years. What are the pros and cons, and is it worth it?

Your insurer will whack up your premium to something ridiculous, and you have to disclose it or you will be uninsured.
