Can you recommend an estate car with a large loading bay?

I have been around and measured the loading bay height of just about every estate there is, comparing them with my present Vauxhall Vectra's size, which is 79cm high x 108cm wide x 177cm to rear of back seats. I like the Mondeo, but like all the other estate cars the stylists have overridden the engineers; they are called "tourers" and the roof slopes down at the back reducing the loading bay height so you can’t get much in.

Check out the new Astra Sports Tourer, then. It is styled to look like it slopes down at the back but it doesn't. It’s actually square enough to take a square-sided 900-litre box. See video at www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/vauxhall/vauxhall-.../.

Very practical and spacious. Economical CDTi engines. Not a bad looker for an estate. Decent ride quality. FlexFold seats are a clever touch.
