New car consuming too much oil
I've done 1100 miles in a new A-Class 180 CDI auto. I've tried to follow HJ's advice for running in a diesel.

It's now telling me it needs a litre of engine oil. Is this normal? My Lexus RX3000 and my Audi TT 225 never needed oil. A bit worried.

Could well do. A problem caused by filling new engines with synthetic oil on the line, when what they really need is a running in oil.

Much better execution of original A-Class concept. Feels far higher quality, especially inside. Easy to park.
