Buying winter tyres

I own a 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML500. I tried to get a set of alloys plus winter tyres in November 2010 from a Mercedes dealer but they could not supply, and the same seems to be happening this year.

Last weekend they found a set in Germany for £1500 which I ordered. Today they were no longer available but they found a set at £2000, which is above my budget and I have lost confidence in orders arriving in any case from this source. Do you know of a reputable make and supplier of alloys (and winter tyres) that would fit this fairly high performance vehicle?

Thank you

But all supplies of winter tyres and wheel combinations are difficult now because the UK allocation of winter tyres is exhausted and dealers have to obtain the tyres from Germany and Austria. These markets get priority supply because the tyres are compulsory there.
