Car computer failures on VAG cars

Could you please tell me during which periods of manufacture Volkswagen Golf estates and Skoda Octavia estates were likely to have the Teves Mk60 ABS ESP ECU module fault? Is the fault still to be found on cars of recent manufacture? If a defective unit is replaced is the replacement itself also liable to the same fault?

The answer to this is to have the brake pressure sensor replaced by someone like www.sinspeed.co.uk that now does it for £225 inc. (plus the cost of removal and replacement of the module). This is a permanent cure that is supposed to solve the problem. The fault seems to occur on 2004 - 2008 cars. Newer than that it would be repaired under warranty so we don't get too many complaints.
