Need a reliable, spacious, economical car
We are a retired couple living in London and spending half the year at our house in SW France. We’ve owned a fully loaded Volvo V70 T5 (02) since new in 2002, which we’ve used over the years to transport family, boxes, furniture, bedding etc to France every spring and return in October with wine.
Now, as empty-nesters, we’re planning to replace the V70 with a smaller, greener car, with automatic, which will reduce our fuel costs, avoid congestion charge and VED, but still be able to carry two plus a decent sized load.
Our budget would be £10-12,000 and we’ve been quoted £1574 for the V70 by webuyanycar, which has now done 70,000 miles. We’d welcome your suggestions
